If you damage a third party's vehicle in a traffic accident and the amount of compensation exceeds UAH 160,000 (the limit set by law in the Compulsory MTPL), you must pay the difference yourself. Given the cost of modern vehicles, the likelihood of such damage is very high.

Fortunately, you can protect yourself from additional financial costs by purchasing an additional limit with a Voluntary Motor Liability Insurance policy:

• UAH 300,000 — recommended for small cities
• UAH 600,000 — recommended for cities with a million+ population
• UAH 1,000,000 — recommended for cities with a million+ population

One year. Select the desired start date of the contract at the time of its signing: not earlier than next day, and not later than 30 days from the current date.

You can purchase it even if mandatory auto liability insurance was purchased from another company.
