1 Object of Insurance Life, health, and ability to work of the Insured Person, as well as possible losses or expenses resulting from job loss, which are related to:
  • insurance interests of the Policyholder (Insured Person / Beneficiary);
  • insurance risks covered by the policy.
2 Insurance Risks. Insured Events. Insurance Limitations

Insurance Risk: 

  • an accident involving the Insured Person;

For the purposes of this Contract, accidents include: traumatic injuries, burns, frostbite, accidental acute poisoning by poisonous plants, chemical substances (industrial or domestic), low-quality food products (except for salmonellosis and dysentery), medications; botulism; infection with tick-borne encephalitis (encephalomyelitis), poliomyelitis, rabies caused by an animal bite, tetanus; drowning, lightning strike or electric shock, bites of animals or poisonous insects, snakes, penetration of foreign objects, or unlawful acts of third parties.

  • disease of the Insured Person;
  • changes in the organization of production and labor by the Policyholder’s employer, including liquidation, bankruptcy, reorganization, or re-profiling of the enterprise, institution, or organization, as well as staff reductions (Article 40, paragraph 1 of the Labor Code of Ukraine).

Insured Event: the occurrence of an insurance risk during the period of insurance coverage and validity of the Contract, confirmed by documents and not excluded from coverage, namely:

  1. Death of the Insured Person as a result of an accident;
  2. Establishment of disability (Group I, II, or III) for the Insured Person as a result of an accident;
  3. Death of the Insured Person as a result of illness;
  4. Health disorder of the Insured Person resulting from a critical illness, specifically undergoing surgery or being diagnosed for the first time during the Contract term with one of the following: malignant neoplasm, myocardial infarction, stroke (ischemic or hemorrhagic), coronary artery bypass grafting, transplantation of vital organs, or renal failure.
  5. Material (property) loss incurred by the Policyholder in connection with the loss or termination of employment at the main place of work at the employer’s initiative (owner or authorized body).

Insurance Limitations:
Persons who, at the time of entering into the Contract, fall under the following categories cannot be insured:

  • registered at narcological or psychiatric dispensaries;
  • having a disability of Group I or II for any reason;
  • diagnosed with one of the critical illnesses listed;
  • suffering from chronic diseases in the decompensation stage, history of heart attack, stroke, severe injuries affecting the nervous system, HIV infection or AIDS, oncological diseases, diabetes mellitus, decompensated endocrine disorders, epilepsy, mental disorders, demyelinating diseases of the nervous system, systemic lupus erythematosus, systemic scleroderma, rheumatism, ischemic heart disease and chronic arrhythmias, hypertension (grade 3–4), chronic kidney or liver diseases, blood and hematopoietic disorders, severe bronchial asthma, tuberculosis, or other diseases requiring constant medical supervision, treatment, or medication.

Persons not eligible for insurance under the risk of job loss/termination:

  • under 20 years of age or over 58 (men) and 56 (women);
  • having less than 12 months of work experience at the current place of employment;
  • being private entrepreneurs, military personnel, freelancers, part-time workers, self-employed individuals, or shareholders working in a company where they own more than 10% of the shares;
  • working at an enterprise with fewer than 10 employees in total.
3 Minimum and Maximum Amounts of the Insurance Sum (Limit of Liability)

The insurance sum is determined depending on the amount of used credit funds, but not exceeding 21,000 UAH.

4 Minimum and Maximum Amounts of the Insurance Premium and/or Insurance Rate

The general insurance rate under the contract for the insurance period ranges from 0.5% to 0.9% of the insurance sum for the respective period.
The total insurance premium under the contract for the insurance period ranges from 0.009 UAH to 105 UAH.

5 Type, Minimum and Maximum Amounts of Deductible (if applicable)

Not applicable.

6 Territory and Term of the Insurance Contract (including information on the procedure for its commencement and insurance period(s), if applicable)

Contract coverage territory for the risk of loss of main employment – Ukraine;
Contract coverage territory for other insurance risks provided under the product – worldwide.


The Contract does not apply:
- to the territories of Ukraine that are temporarily occupied; territories where the state authorities of Ukraine temporarily do not exercise their powers; settlements located along the demarcation line; territories of active hostilities where, on the date of the event that has signs of an insured event, military (combat) actions are taking place; 
- to territories outside Ukraine in zones of military conflict of any nature, regardless of the official recognition of war; territories where a state of emergency or a natural disaster threat has been officially declared; territories for which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has issued a recommendation to refrain from traveling before crossing the border by the Insured Person.

Contract duration – 1 year.

The Contract becomes effective at 00:00 hours (Kyiv time) on the first (1st) day of the month following the month in which the Contract is concluded, provided that the insurance payment in the amount specified in the Policy has been made to the Insurer’s account. The Contract remains valid until 24:00 (Kyiv time) on the date specified in the Contract as its expiration date, unless other circumstances result in early termination.
The term of the Contract is divided into insurance periods of 1 month each.
Insurance protection during each period is valid provided that the insurance payment for that period has been made in accordance with the Contract.

The Contract terminates, and insurance coverage cannot be renewed, if scheduled insurance payments are not received or are received in incomplete amount into the Insurer’s current account for 12 (twelve) consecutive months.

The Contract establishes a waiting period for the insured event – a period during which the insurance protection under the Contract is not in force:

7 calendar days from the effective date of the Contract – for insured events No. 1–4 specified in clause 2;

3 months from the effective date of the Contract – for insured event No. 5 specified in clause 2.

7 Possible consequences for the consumer in case of failure to fulfill the obligations defined by the insurance contract, including late notification of an insured event without valid reasons and late payment of the insurance premium or its next installment

Failure by the Policyholder to fulfill the obligations specified in the insurance contract may serve as a basis for the Insurer to refuse the insurance payment.

The Insurer has the right to refuse an insurance payment if the Insured Person fails to perform the actions stipulated by the insurance contract upon the occurrence of an event that has the characteristics of an insured event.

Events occurring during the insurance period for which the insurance payment has not been made within the time limits specified in the insurance contract are not recognized as insured events.

8 Information on the possibility to purchase the insurance product separately if such product is offered together with an ancillary and/or additional product, work, or service that is not insurance-related, as part of a single package or contract

The contract is not supplementary to any other goods, works, or services that are not insurance-related. In connection with the conclusion of the Contract, there is no need to obtain any additional or related services from the Insurer and/or third parties associated with receiving the financial service under the Contract.

9 Conditions for Receiving a Discount on the Insurance Product and Promotional Offers of the Insurer (if any), Including Their Validity Periods

Discounts and promotional offers are not available and do not apply.

10 List of Information Material to the Assessment of Insurance Risk and/or Other Circumstances Considered in Determining the Insurance Premium

When entering into the Contract, the Policyholder must provide the Insurer with information on the existence of an insurance interest regarding the insured object and on all circumstances known to the Policyholder that are materially significant for assessing the insurance risk (determining the probability and likelihood of an insured event and the amount of possible losses), and thereafter, no later than 5 (five) working days after any changes, notify the Insurer in writing of any changes to circumstances that are materially significant for the assessment of the insurance risk.

Information considered materially significant for the Insurer’s decision to conclude the Contract and/or to determine the amount of the insurance premium under the Contract, and/or to assess the insurance risk includes data on the age of the Insured Person, the state of health and changes in the state of health of the Insured Person. Entering into the Contract by the Policyholder in respect of persons who cannot be insured in accordance with the General Terms of the insurance product shall be deemed a breach of this obligation by the Policyholder.

11 Consumer Warning on the Need to Review Information Before Entering into the Insurance Contract, Including References to Such Information

This insurance product requires the consumer to familiarize themselves in advance in order to make an informed decision about entering into the insurance contract.

The consumer must, before entering into the insurance contract, review the information on exclusions from insured events and the grounds for refusal of insurance payments, the limits of the Insurer’s liability for a particular insured object, insurance risk and/or insured event, as well as the calculation procedure and conditions for insurance payments, contained in the General Terms of the insurance product “Credit Limit Insurance” (the public part of the insurance contract), available at: https://uniqa.ua/storage/public-offer/partner-reports/1216_umovy.pdf
