Insurance risk: an accident involving the Insured Person

Accidents include:
- traumatic injuries, burns, frostbite, accidental acute poisoning by toxic plants, chemicals (industrial or domestic), substandard food products (excluding salmonellosis, dysentery), medicines; botulism; diseases such as tick-borne encephalitis (encephalomyelitis), poliomyelitis, rabies due to animal bites, tetanus;
- drowning, lightning or electric shock, bites by animals or poisonous insects, snakes, penetration of foreign bodies, unlawful acts of third parties, etc.

Insured event: occurrence of an insured risk during the period of insurance coverage and contract validity, documented and not excluded from the list of insured events, namely:

  1. Death of the Insured Person as a result of an accident;
  2. Traumatic injuries of the Insured Person resulting from an accident, as provided in the “Table of insurance payments in case of traumatic injuries of the Insured Person due to an accident” (hereinafter – the “Payment Table”).

Insurance limitations:
The following are not subject to insurance under this product:

  • a person legally declared incompetent;
  • a person serving as a member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, or as an employee or officer of the National Guard of Ukraine, Security Service of Ukraine, State Border Guard Service, Ministry of Internal Affairs, National Police, Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, or other paramilitary formations, services, or units, regardless of their form or method of creation. This restriction applies only to insurance under the program “Military Risks”.
3 Minimum and maximum insurance sum amounts (liability limit)

The total insurance sum depends on the Insurance Program chosen by the Policyholder when concluding the Contract:

  1. Program “Standard Conditions”: 50,000 – 250,000 UAH;
  2. Program “Group Insurance”: 50,000 – 250,000 UAH;
  3. Program “Family”: 50,000 UAH;
  4. Program “Active Sports”: 50,000 – 250,000 UAH;
  5. Program “Military Risks”: 50,000 – 125,000 UAH.
4 Minimum and maximum insurance premium and/or tariff rates

Insurance tariff, % of the insurance sum:
Program “Group Insurance”: 0.48%;
Program “Standard Conditions”: 0.48% - 0.60%;
Program “Family”: 0.48%;
Program “Active Sports”: 0.96%;
Program “Military Risks”: 1.44%.

Insurance premium (annual):
Program “Group Insurance”: 240 UAH – 1200 UAH;
Program “Standard Conditions”: 300 UAH – 1200 UAH;
Program “Family”: 240 UAH;
Program “Active Sports”: 480 UAH – 2400 UAH;
Program “Military Risks”: 720 UAH – 1800 UAH.

5 Type, minimum and maximum deductible amounts (if applicable)

Not applicable.

6 Territory and term of the insurance contract (including information on its commencement and insurance period(s), if applicable)

Territory of validity – worldwide.
The Contract does not apply:
- to temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine; territories where the state authorities of Ukraine temporarily do not exercise their powers; settlements located along the contact line; or territories where active hostilities are ongoing;
- to territories outside Ukraine that are within zones of military conflict of any kind, regardless of whether war has been officially recognized by law, as well as territories for which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has issued a recommendation to refrain from traveling before the Insured Person crosses the border.

Term of the contract – 1 year.
The Contract enters into force at 00:00 (Kyiv time) on the start date specified in the Contract, but not earlier than the day following payment of the insurance premium in the amount specified in the Contract to the Insurer’s account. The Contract remains in force until 24:00 (Kyiv time) on the date indicated as its expiration date, unless terminated earlier.
The Contract term is divided into insurance periods – 1 year or 1 month (chosen by the Policyholder when concluding the Contract).
Insurance coverage during each period is valid only if the insurance premium for that period has been paid in accordance with the Contract.
The Contract is extended (renewed) for the same term under the conditions specified in the Contract unless either Party declares its intention to terminate it.

The Contract establishes a waiting period for an insured event – a period during which insurance coverage does not apply: the first 7 (seven) days from the date the Contract enters into force.

7 Possible consequences for the consumer in case of failure to fulfill obligations specified in the insurance contract

For failure or improper fulfillment of the terms of the contract, the policyholder bears liability as provided by law.

Failure of the policyholder (insured person) to fulfill the obligations established by the insurance contract may be grounds for the insurer to refuse payment of the insurance benefit.

The insurer has the right to refuse payment if the insured person fails to take actions required by the contract upon the occurrence of an event that qualifies as an insured event.

Events that occur during an insurance period for which the premium was not paid within the time limits established by the contract are not recognized as insured events.

8 Information on the possibility to purchase the insurance product separately, if offered together with related and/or additional goods, work or services that are not insurance-related, as part of a single package or contract

The contract is not supplementary to any other goods, work, or services that are not insurance-related. In connection with the conclusion of this Contract, there is no need to obtain additional or related services from the Insurer and/or third parties associated with the provision of financial services under the Contract.

9 Terms for discounts on the insurance product and the insurer’s promotional offers (if any), including their validity periods

No discounts or promotional offers are available or applied.

10 List of information of material importance for assessing the insurance risk and/or information about other circumstances considered when determining the amount of the insurance premium

When concluding the Contract, the Policyholder is obliged to provide the Insurer with information about the existence of an insurable interest regarding the object of insurance, as well as all known circumstances that have material importance for assessing the insurance risk (determining the probability and likelihood of an insured event and the possible amount of loss). The Policyholder must also inform the Insurer within 5 (five) working days of any changes in such circumstances.

Information of material importance for the Insurer’s decision to conclude the Contract and/or determine the amount of the insurance premium, and/or to assess the insurance risk includes data about the age of the Insured Person, their health status, and any changes in that status.
If the Policyholder concludes a Contract regarding persons who cannot be insured under clause 12.10 of the General Terms and Conditions of the insurance product, it is considered a violation of the Policyholder’s obligations.

11 Consumer notice on the necessity to review information before concluding the insurance contract, including references to such information

This insurance product requires the consumer to review the information in advance in order to make an informed decision about entering into the insurance contract.

Before concluding the insurance contract, the consumer must familiarize themselves with information about exclusions from insured events and grounds for refusal of insurance payments, the insurer’s liability limits for specific insurance objects, risks and/or insured events, as well as the calculation procedure and payment conditions specified in the General Terms and Conditions of the insurance product “Protection for Every Day” (the public part of the insurance contract), available at: https://uniqa.ua/storage/public-offer/partner-reports/1214_umovy.pdf
