1 Object of Insurance

Property owned and/or used and/or disposed of by the Policyholder, namely: a vehicle (hereinafter – the Vehicle), in connection with which the Policyholder has insurable interests.

Under this product, technically sound passenger cars, motorcycles, trucks, buses, self-propelled agricultural machinery, mounted/trailer equipment for such machinery, other mobile equipment and trailers, as well as additional equipment specified in the insurance contract, are accepted for insurance.

2 Insurance Risks. Limitations

The following insurance risks may be covered:

  • Theft, robbery, or assault resulting in unlawful possession;
  • Traffic accident, including stone impact from other vehicles, collision with animals during movement;
  • Unlawful actions of third parties;
  • Natural disaster: flood, storm, hurricane, tornado, heavy rain, hail, landslide, avalanche, mudslide, subsidence, lightning strike, earthquake, etc.;
  • Fire, explosion, or spontaneous combustion;
  • Falling of trees, stones, or other objects; animal attack; damage from water or other substances due to utility network accidents; subsidence under road surface (hereinafter – Other Cases);
  • Accident;
  • War risks.

Insurance limitations:

The following are not subject to insurance:

  • Vehicles not registered in Ukraine or not subject to state registration (except for machinery not legally required to be registered);
  • Vehicles without chassis numbers (including destroyed ones) and/or without state license plates (requirement for plates does not apply to trailers or mounted equipment unless otherwise agreed by the Parties);
  • Vehicles used as taxis, training vehicles, replacements, rentals, leasing, carsharing, racing or test drives (unless otherwise agreed by the Parties);
  • Vehicles used by security companies, carriers (including dangerous goods), public transport, police, emergency services, ambulances, utilities, courier or airport services, military, or demining units;
  • Vehicles in technical disrepair not permitted for road use under Ukrainian Traffic Rules;
  • Vehicles older than 20 years.
3 Minimum and Maximum Sum Insured (Liability Limit)

Minimum and maximum sum insured: not limited.

The sum insured is determined by agreement between the Parties and must correspond to the actual value of the Vehicle at the time of contract conclusion.

For war risks, a sublimit of 10% of the sum insured applies.

The sum insured is non-aggregate, i.e., it is not reduced after an indemnity payment.

4 Minimum and maximum insurance premium and/or tariff rates

The amount of the insurance premium depends on the insured sum and the selected insurance terms.

The specific tariff rate is specified in the insurance contract by mutual agreement of the Parties.

5 Type, minimum and maximum deductible (if applicable)

An unconditional deductible applies under the insurance contract, meaning that the Insurer deducts the deductible amount from each insurance payment.

The specific deductible amount is determined in the insurance contract by agreement of the Parties.

6 Territory and validity period of the insurance contract (including the procedure for its commencement and the insurance period(s))

Insurance territory: Ukraine. For passenger cars, trucks, trailers, and motorcycles (scooters), the coverage also extends to European and CIS countries (except the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation), Georgia, and Turkey.

The contract does not apply to:

  • territories of military conflicts, armed clashes, or mass unrest;
  • temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine as defined by Ukrainian law;
  • territories where state authorities temporarily do not exercise their powers;
  • settlements or territories along the contact or demarcation lines, or areas with ongoing active hostilities of any kind, regardless of formal recognition of war.

The insurance contract is not valid in areas where a state of emergency has been officially declared, or in officially designated potential natural disaster zones if such status was established prior to signing, as well as on roads used for sports competitions.

Standard contract term: 1 calendar year.

Minimum and maximum duration: not limited.

The duration is set by mutual agreement of the Parties and stated in the contract.

The contract becomes effective at 00:00 on the date of payment (or first installment) of the insurance premium, but not earlier than the start date specified in the contract, and terminates at 24:00 on the end date unless terminated earlier due to other circumstances.

The Parties agree that, regardless of the signing date, the insurance coverage applies from the start date specified in the contract.

7 Possible consequences for the consumer in case of failure to fulfill obligations under the insurance contract

If the consumer fails to fulfill obligations under the insurance contract, the Insurer may refuse to pay insurance compensation. The Insurer is released from the obligation to pay for events where there was overdue debt on the insurance premium (or part of it, if paid in installments) at the time of occurrence.

Late notification by the Policyholder/Driver of an insured event without valid reason, leaving the scene, or failure to fulfill other obligations established by the contract or law, if it prevented the Insurer from determining the fact, cause, or circumstances of the insured event, constitutes grounds for refusal to pay insurance compensation.

8 Information on the possibility to purchase the insurance product separately if offered together with additional goods, works, or services

The contract is supplementary to banking services under the loan agreement specified in the insurance contract. No additional or related services from the Insurer and/or third parties related to the provision of financial services under the insurance agreement are required.

9 Terms of obtaining a discount on the insurance product and promotional offers of the insurer

Discounts and promotional offers are not available and do not apply.

10 List of information essential for assessing the insurance risk and/or other circumstances considered when determining the insurance premium

The following information is essential for the Insurer’s decision to conclude the insurance contract, determine the insurance premium, and/or assess the insurance risk: details about the vehicle specified in the insurance contract, as well as information on:

  • the vehicle’s country of origin, authorized drivers, main usage territory, nature and/or intensity of operation, technical condition, visible damage, or hidden defects;
  • any previous losses or damages to the insured vehicle prior to this contract (including under contracts with other insurers);
  • change of ownership (sale, donation, etc.), issuance of power of attorney with disposal rights, preliminary sale agreement, or deposit received;
  • replacement of body or engine, installation or replacement of equipment, modifications requiring registration, vehicle registration or re-registration;
  • deregistration or cancellation of state registration;
  • the vehicle being wanted, seized, or encumbered (except encumbrances related to contractual relations with the Beneficiary);
  • leasing, renting, subleasing, carsharing, pledging, or using the vehicle as a taxi;
  • loss of registration documents and/or keys, key fobs, or remote controls for the insured vehicle;
  • errors or failures in computer hardware, software, or embedded microchips and components;
  • cases of unlawful seizure or known attempts of unlawful seizure of the vehicle during the ownership period;
  • removal, breakdown, deactivation, or replacement of anti-theft devices.
11 Consumer notice of the need to review exclusions, grounds for refusal, liability limits, and payment procedures before concluding the insurance contract
