Underwriter

UNIQA Insurance Company – a leader of the Ukrainian insurance market and part of the Austrian UNIQA Insurance Group, one of Europe’s largest insurance groups – invites a Underwriter to join its team.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite risks in property, engineering, and liability lines
• Ensure compliance with the company’s underwriting policies for accepted risks
• Develop new and update existing regulatory and methodological documentation (policies/rules/instructions/tariff guidelines)
• Participate in the development of new insurance products and enhancement of existing ones
• Collaborate with the Sales team (pricing calculations, consultations, presentations)
• Monitor and manage the insurance portfolio; prepare recommendations on loss ratios
• Prepare reports, presentations, and marketing materials

What Is Important for This Role:

• Degree in economics, mathematics, law, or a technical field
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role or in an international brokerage company would be an advantage
• Strong self-organization, ability to make independent decisions, resilience under pressure, excellent communication skills, and a systematic approach to problem-solving
• Strong motivation for professional growth and development in insurance; leadership qualities
• English — Upper Intermediate or higher (ability to read professional literature and communicate effectively)
• Advanced computer literacy, especially in MS Office, including the ability to efficiently search for information online
