Medical expert for complex claims

About the Role

This is far from routine case coordination. You will handle complex medical claims that require deep clinical expertise, critical thinking, and a patient-centered approach. You will support insured patients in cases requiring special attention, including inpatient treatment, long-term therapy, and complex medical conditions. Your decisions will directly impact the quality of care received by our clients. This role also offers a clear growth path, with opportunities to advance into a leadership position within the function.

Your key responsibilities:

• Review and assess complex medical claims, including inpatient treatment, long-term therapies, and other non-standard cases
• Monitor inpatient treatment journeys, providing support from hospitalization through discharge
• Communicate with partner clinics and physicians, review medical reports, and make coverage-related decisions
• Evaluate treatment plans against policy terms and provide well-founded decisions regarding coverage approval or denial

What is important for this role:

• Higher medical education (MD or equivalent)
• Experience in clinical practice or medical assistance services is an advantage
• Proactive approach and empathy when interacting with patients and healthcare professionals
• Ability to make sound and objective decisions in emotionally challenging situations
• Confident user of PC applications and MS Office
