UNIQA Insurance Company— a leader of the Ukrainian insurance market and part of the Austrian UNIQA Insurance Group, one of Europe’s largest insurance groups — invites a Internal Audit Specialist to join its team.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct preliminary risk assessments of audit objects
- Develop audit programs in line with global standards and coordinate them with Group Internal Audit
- Independently or collaboratively perform audits of the insurance company’s business processes
- Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the internal control system
- Prepare working papers and document identified findings
- Develop recommendations to improve controls and mitigate risks, and align them with responsible departments
- Prepare audit reports and coordinate audit results with Group Internal Audit
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations
- Provide advisory support to internal departments on controls, risks, and process optimization
What Is Important for This Role:
- Higher education in finance or economics
- At least 2 years of experience in internal audit within the financial sector (preferably in an insurance company) or in an international audit/consulting firm
- Knowledge of global internal audit standards
- Understanding of Ukrainian insurance legislation, accounting principles, and international financial reporting standards (IFRS)
- Skills in planning and conducting audit engagements
- Experience in risk assessment, business process analysis, and control testing
- Knowledge of internal control system design and risk management principles
- Confident user of MS Office; experience working with databases and large volumes of data
- English — Upper Intermediate or higher
- Stress resilience, strong analytical thinking, excellent communication and persuasion skills
