UNIQA Insurance Company— a leader of the Ukrainian insurance market and part of the Austrian UNIQA Insurance Group, one of Europe’s largest insurance groups — invites a Head of the Internal Audit Department to join its team.

About the Role:
You will integrate ESG principles into the company’s business processes, coordinate reporting in line with international standards, and collaborate with colleagues from UNIQA Group. This is a role with real impact: your decisions will directly shape the company’s approach to environmental and social responsibility, as well as its overall business strategy.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • ESG Reporting & Analytics: Collect, analyze, and prepare data for ESG reports in accordance with international standards (GRI, CSRD) and UNIQA Group requirements
  • ESG Integration into Underwriting: Implement sustainability criteria into risk assessment processes, provide methodological support to business units, and collaborate with reinsurers
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Align business and functional teams around shared ESG goals and ensure consistency in approaches
  • Sustainability Projects: Initiate and support internal environmental responsibility projects (energy efficiency, waste reduction, recycling)
  • Communication & Training: Increase ESG awareness among employees and create content for internal and external communication channels
  • Collaboration with UNIQA Group: Participate in joint sustainability initiatives, ensure regular reporting, and exchange best practices with the international team

What Is Important for This Role

  • Higher education in environmental science, economics, finance, management, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, or corporate responsibility
  • Hands-on experience in preparing analytical materials and reports (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of international ESG reporting standards (GRI, CSRD, EU Taxonomy)
  • English proficiency at B2+ level for working with an international team
  • Project management and cross-functional coordination skills
